They forgot a breed that is comparable to the Border Collie – that’s the Belgian Sheepdog group that come with 4 different types of coats: The Malinois – all black with the male having a thick mane (like a male Collie), the Tervuren (also with a male with a long mane, but tan with black main and face), the Laekenois – wire-haired and tan with black face, and the now well-known Malinois, frequently used by police forces because they are so smart and easy to train.They were Belgian farmers’ dogs in the 1800’s, and then they began to separate them into the 4 different coats and accept them as a breed. This group should have been high on the list!
